AUCKLAND HOUSE INSPECTIONS FOR YOUR PRE-PURCHASE PEACE OF MIND

Professional house inspections before buying are essential.  Having a full understanding of the home you are investing in helps avoid nasty surprises if issues are uncovered after you have signed on the dotted line.  The pre-purchase home inspection cost is negligible compared with the cost of rectifying major hidden defects that many people can miss.

Auckland building inspections are a must, particularly with the popularity of plaster clad homes in many of the city’s suburbs.  Our Accredited Building Surveyor is an experienced, trade qualified ex-builder with a broad knowledge of the construction industry.  Although efforts may be made to disguise certain issues in a property, it’s much more difficult to fool the eyes of experience.  Our comprehensive series of checks puts the whole property under scrutiny.

POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • Can I be present during the inspection?

Clients are very welcome to be present during the inspection of the house, but are asked to bear in mind that our building Surveyor must focus on the inspection, and is happy to talk you through his findings at the end.

  • Do you give houses a pass or fail mark?

We do not believe it is possible to pass or fail a house, as factors such as price, the buyer’s ability to rectify certain issues themselves and/or budget to renovate must all be taken into consideration.  By providing buyer’s with a full and independent survey of the property, they are able to make a fully informed decision about how to proceed.
